This Fidabio poster demonstrates how adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors for gene therapy can be characterised on a single automated platform. Flow Induced Dispersion Analysis (FIDA), on a Fida 1 instrument, was used to measure AAV capsid size (hydrodynamic radius), polydispersity, particle titre and aggregate content from just 40 nL of sample — for example resolving an 8.5 nm capsid radius and quantifying aggregates in an AAV2 preparation. It is an example of using FIDA to characterise viral vector size, aggregation and quality for gene therapy.
