Chaperone triaging on the fate of aggregating proteins.
Elena Timoshenko , Stefan G.D.Rüdiger
This poster from the Rüdiger lab at Utrecht University demonstrates how Flow Induced Dispersion Analysis (FIDA), on a Fida Neo instrument, was used to quantify α-synuclein aggregation and follow amyloid fibril formation and degradation by the 26S proteasome. FIDA tracked fibril growth over time alongside complementary methods, helping reveal how molecular chaperones triage the fate of aggregating proteins. It is an example of using FIDA to quantify protein aggregation and amyloid fibril size in solution.
