Peptide-based strategy to target Tau fibrils
Júlia Aragonès Pedrola, Guy Mayer, Françoise A. Dekker, Tommaso Garfagnini ,Assaf Friedler, Stefan G.D. Rüdiger
This poster, from Utrecht University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, demonstrates how Flow Induced Dispersion Analysis (FIDA) was used to develop peptides that target Tau amyloid fibrils for degradation. By measuring hydrodynamic radius, FIDA showed the peptides bind Tau fibrils selectively over monomers (affinity ~1.05 µM) and recruit an E3 ligase to form proteasome-targeting complexes. It is an example of using FIDA to characterise peptide binding to amyloid fibrils and quantify complex formation in solution.
