Rapid sizing and characterization of bispecific antibodies

This poster, co-authored by researchers from DTU Bioengineering and Fida Biosystems, shows how Flow Induced Dispersion Analysis (FIDA), on a Fida 1 instrument, was used to characterise ternary complex formation between bispecific antibodies and their two target antigens. Using just 40 nL of sample per measurement, the assay determined binding affinities (KD of 7.8 nM and 0.3 nM), complex size via hydrodynamic radius, and a cooperativity value of 1.6, with sixty samples analysed automatically in 12 hours. It is an example of using FIDA to rapidly size and characterise multi-specific antibody complexes directly in solution.
